This course is part of the Moving Image and Digital Arts programme at London College of Communication. The post-holder will work collaboratively within a course team, deploying specialist expertise to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions.

You should be comfortable working with diverse cohorts of students and committed to a teaching approach that integrates creative, exploratory practices with technical knowledge and will engage students through a combination of innovative pedagogy, knowledge exchange and/or research.
An MA in Animation or an associated subject is preferred but not essential if comparable experience can be evidenced. Candidates should also demonstrate knowledge of a range of analogue and digital animation skills and practice including the use of key stop-motion related software such as Dragon Frame, After Effects, Photoshop etc. You may also have other knowledge of new software and animation processes that could be incorporated into development of this specific area of animation practice.
You should be a specialist practitioner and/or researcher who is keen to use your academic and/or industry-based experience to support the development of student work across all year groups in both the Experimental and Character pathways. You’ll be proactive and actively contribute to the programme’s aims and vision. You should have a strong understanding of the contemporary context of Animation in an academic and/or professional setting and be engaged in relevant networks and communities of practice within this and/or related fields.
