The opportunity

Do you get a genuine thrill from sharing your specialist knowledge of clay with eager novices? Our ceramics resource is a place where almost anything is possible in clay. Our Art and Design students learn ceramics to expand on their research and coursework.  We’re looking for someone who has experience with large and small-scale hand building, pottery, glazing, moldmaking, and slipcasting. You’ll oversee daily oxidation and gas reduction firings and perform routine kiln maintenance. You'll seamlessly balance your specialist skills, alongside all our administrative support systems such as booking software, microsoft office, calendars, online resources and the wider VLE (Virtual Learning Environment).  This workshop is situated between woodwork, metalwork, and casting resources, so you’ve got lots of other skilled colleagues nearby. This is your opportunity to dive in, put all your skills to use, and maybe even learn a few new ones.  If you're thinking: That's a bit of me... then please apply!
