This role will work closely with the newly appointed Head of English Language Centre. You will support the delivery of the student-focused service and provide administrative support for the English Language Centre. This will include responding to various student enquiries, taking responsibility for updating virtual learning environments, bookings and records management systems and databases, and supporting the continuous development of services at the centre.

You will support the Head of English Language Centre to deliver operational planning including programme and staff planning, timetabling and records management and co-ordinate and promote events for the team.

You will be happy to work in a flexible and hybrid way, working at least two days a week in the office (preferably Tuesdays and Thursdays), and adjusting as required for operational needs.

Your profile

You will need a degree level qualification and/or previous experience in administration in UK Higher Education, good written and oral communication skills for report writing and presentations, and strong interpersonal skills.

A thorough understanding of efficient administrative and data processes and systems is essential, as are digital skills, including databases and data management, records management systems, virtual learning environments, with advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills, particularly in Excel.

As part of this, you will need to provide a supporting statement/answer some competency questions to demonstrate your suitability. Our recruitment process involves: Application, Shortlisting, Interview and Assessment, Offer, Onboarding.

We understand the benefits of using AI in work. But, if you are thinking of using it to submit an application, we ask you to think about what value it adds.
