The opportunity

Join us at UAL Short Courses for an exciting opportunity to teach on our TV and Film programmes, offering unique and creative learning experiences to diverse groups of learners both in our colleges and online.  

UAL Short Courses deliver a wide array of distinctive courses, enabling students to learn from industry experts, acquire new skills, and enhance their portfolios. Our courses are available online and in-person across UAL locations, scheduled throughout the year, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

We are currently seeking tutors to join our teaching pool, with future opportunities to deliver the following courses: 

Set Design For Film And Television Short Course 

Art Direction For Film Short Course 

Introduction to TV and Film Set Design for 16 to 18 Year Olds 

Film Art Department Skills Short Course 

Production Design for Film and Drama Short Course

Are you passionate about inspiring, engaging, and connecting with learners of all ages? Do you possess the skills to prepare individuals for success in their chosen careers or educational paths? If so, we invite you to join our team at UAL Short Courses as a Short Course Tutor.  

We are particularly keen to hear from practicing professionals who are at the forefront of their industries and are eager to impart new skills and experiences to our students 

Candidates should be capable of planning and delivering inclusive sessions that develop and engage learners, incorporating their own specialisms and styles. A solid understanding of the industry or subject area is essential, as is prior experience in teaching or training. A teaching qualification is desirable but not mandatory. Tutors should be confident in working with diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds, creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.  

Strong organisational skills, including the management of materials, are required.
