The opportunity

Due to high volume of applications this role will now be closing on 25th January 2025 at 23:55. Please submit your application by this time.

We are seeking an experienced administrator to join our Academic Registry team to provide administrative and customer service support to a portfolio of courses. If you are looking for the next step in your career this is an exciting opportunity to join us. Academic Registry’s work covers a variety of key services across UAL’s six colleges to support students and academic teams. We are seeking to recruit talented individuals to join us within our college-based Programme Administration team.

As a Programme Administrator you’re at your happiest when you’re juggling priorities and making things happen. As one of our Academic Registry team, you will put all of this to good use as you provide professional administrative support to our courses.

The roles are busy and varied and include everything from collating course-related documentation to committee servicing, coordinating and supporting External Examiners, recording student work submissions, attendance monitoring, organising seminars and workshops, and supporting enrolment.

Your profile

We value the diversity of experience our staff bring with them. Whilst experience of working in a Higher Education setting will be helpful, we positively welcome front line administrative experience from across a range of sectors. Key to this role will be your effective written and oral communication skills, the ability to plan and prioritise work and achieve outcomes, and your collaborative approach. Successful candidates will also be confident in the use of Microsoft applications. If you meet these requirements, the opportunities open to you at UAL are hard to beat.

You are encouraged to apply early as we shall close the application process before the advertised closing date if we receive a high volume of applications.

If you have any queries about this role, sponsorship or need any reasonable adjustments for your application, please contact the Professional Services and Operations Staff Recruitment via email at  PSOstaffrecruitment@arts.ac.uk

We are UAL

Our creative network influences learning, culture, industry and society on a global scale. Our academics and practitioners deliver creative education and inspire new ways of thinking through research and innovation. We work with students at every level from pre-degree and short courses to postgraduate and online learning, enabling them to build the careers they want. Together, we are a community of makers, thinkers, pioneers and storytellers redesigning the future.

As a University we are ranked second in the world for Art and Design. We are formed of 6 Colleges with unique histories and identities: Camberwell College of Arts, Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts, London College of Communication, London College of Fashion and Wimbledon College of Arts. Application process

We operate a fair and open anonymous selection process. Thus, you will need to create an account and submit an application through our job board. As part of this, you will need to provide a supporting statement/answer some competency questions to demonstrate your suitability. Our recruitment process involves: Application, Shortlisting, Interview and Assessment, Offer, Onboarding.

We understand the benefits of using AI in work. But, if you are thinking of using it to submit an application, we ask you to think about what value it adds. AI tools tend to lack the personal touch and authenticity we value in candidates. We encourage you to showcase your unique knowledge and skills using your own voice.

If we receive a high volume of applications, the closing day date might close early. We aim to communicate any changes to the closing date with at least 24 hours’ notice. If you have any general questions or have accessibility needs, please refer to our Contact us page.
