The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Visual Designer to help produce engaging and appealing graphic content for University of the Arts London’s (UAL) online course provision.

Joining our UAL Online Production team, you will assist with the design and development of online learning material and marketing content for online courses, which will require you to create original graphics, infographics and illustrations which inspire students and reflect the creative character of UAL. Your work will help to drive the creation of engaging and on-brand visuals that support marketing campaigns and student retention initiatives.

You will also support our Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle), contributing relevant content and selecting images to ensure that the look and feel of UAL Online content has clarity and consistency.

This position offers the chance to utilise your graphic and visual design skills and expertise in an innovative role that provides exciting opportunities to explore typography, infographics, data visualisation, illustration, animation and other aspects of graphic and communication design.

About you

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in a design-based subject. You will pair this with an in-depth knowledge of good graphic and visual design practice, including a detailed understanding of digital accessibility and inclusive content.

You will also demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to reproduce complex concepts and information in a clear and visually appealing manner.

You will possess experience of designing digital materials to agreed style guides and will be capable of designing and developing a consistent visual look and feel across varied media types and platforms.

You will also be proficient with design software such as the Adobe Creative suite and related packages.
