The opportunity

Are you an experienced HR professional with change management experience?

Do you want to further your career in HR and play a key role supporting  a varied project in a world-leading organisation?

University of the Arts London (UAL) is looking for a HR professional to provide expert HR advice and support to a high profile organisational change programme.

You will be responsible for handling a diverse range of people related activities, aligning organisational objectives with employee needs. This will involve managing, interpreting, and advising on UAL policies and procedures and project managing related work packages. You will support managers and staff on various matters through providing advice, coaching, guidance, and facilitating effective collaboration throughout the process.

The role will also involve dealing with large volumes of data and assessing and initial evaluation of job descriptions.

About you

For this role, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be capable of building and maintaining positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders and will demonstrate the ability to provide professional advice and guidance to employees, management and trade unions.

You will either be CIPD qualified (MCIPD) or possess equivalent professional experience, in addition to experience of managing change.

You will need a good understanding of the Higher Education sector, as well as knowledge of role analysis/job evaluation (ideally HERA).

You will also require a flexible approach to changing priorities, be well organised and able to facilitate changes smoothly.

Problem-solving and teamwork skills are also essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively and provide practical and sustainable solutions.
