The opportunity

Within your area of expertise, we ask you to inspire our students and contribute to the development of our curriculum, bringing to life the practical, technical and theoretical aspects of your field, providing engaging and effective teaching drawn on industry or research experience.

With expertise in professional practice and a strong foundation of knowledge in teaching, industry and innovation, you will translate this into the classroom and learning of our students. Through research led enquiry and creative production processes, you will inspire this emerging future generation of creative practitioners and story tellers with energy, drive, and commitment. Your practice should consider values of ethics and diversity as part of your fashion thinking, to support creative solutions for the future of the discipline.

About you

We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious academic practitioner who is industry, innovation or research orientated, to inspire our students through their passion for teaching emerging technologies in fashion media and related disciplines, to join the School of Media and Communication as Lecturer in Fashion Media and Emerging Technology. 

You will teach across courses and at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and be responsible for unit leadership, curriculum development and quality assurance. You will actively engage in research and scholarship to develop and support teaching delivery of new and emerging technologies.

Additionally, you will actively contribute to working relationships with colleagues and projects across the School of Media and Communication.
