The opportunity

Unlock your potential with an Apprenticeship at UAL!

Are you passionate about making and teaching? UAL offers an exciting opportunity to launch your career as a Technician Apprentice in our dynamic 3D Workshops.

Gain valuable skills and earn a recognised qualification through the Education Technician Level 3 apprenticeship. This program will equip you with the expertise to excel in your role and open doors for future career growth. Subject to successful completion of your apprenticeship, you’ll have an opportunity to secure a permanent position within our team.

Our 3D workshops are a hub for a diverse range of fabrication processes, including wood, plastics, metal, ceramics, using traditional and digital methods of fabrication. Whether you’ve nurtured a lifelong hobby or excelled in related subjects like BTEC or A-level, we’re seeking individuals with a passion for creating, learning, and supporting others.

Our workshops serve students across Fine Art, Design and Performance. We’re keen to discover your making strengths, interests, and aspirations. What excites you? What are you skilled at? What do you want to learn next? Share your passion with us in your application!

About you

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you do not need to have any prior Higher Education qualifications but a genuine interest in making and prototyping is essential. You must also meet the full apprenticeship eligibility criteria which can be found on the FAQ’s of our apprenticeships careers site including having been ordinarily resident in the UK for the last 3 years.

You’ll be required to hold a right to work in the UK for the duration of your apprenticeship. UAL cannot act as a sponsor for any visa applications. If you have good communication skills, coupled with strong planning, organising and teamwork skills, we encourage you to explore this role further.
