The opportunity

University of the Arts London is looking for a Student Complaints, Appeals and Assessment Manager to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead, manage and coordinate the University Complaints and Appeals procedures maintaining an overview of casework, and provide expert advice in this specialist area to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service to students and staff.
  • Produce detailed reports for senior University committees, identifying potential risk and institutional learning where changes to policy, practice or procedure may be required.

The role will also take a lead on the development of all aspects of University work in relation to assessment regulation, providing expert advice on the interpretation of the University’s Assessment Policy and Academic Regulations.

About you

The ideal candidate will be educated to a minimum of degree level or equivalent and possess extensive experience of complaints and appeals case handling within higher education. Having managed staff in an educational environment, you will have experience of producing induction/training materials and have the ability to establish good working relations with a diverse range of people from academic staff to external organisations.
