The opportunity

Are you a passionate advocate for equality, diversity, and inclusion? Do you have the vision and expertise to drive transformative change in a dynamic and creative academic environment?

UAL is looking for an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Manager to lead our efforts in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.

As an EDI Manager, you will be a key player in our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion team, spearheading student-focused EDI initiatives and projects. Your role will involve formulating policies, conducting research, and developing guidelines to enhance the student experience through a lens of equity and inclusion.

You will collaborate closely with colleges, professional services, and external partners to ensure that UAL remains at the forefront of best practices in EDI. Your responsibilities will also include advising on Equality Impact Assessments, delivering training, and contributing to our Race Equality Charter initiatives.

About you

You will bring a wealth of experience in managing EDI initiatives, particularly those related to students.

Your in-depth knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and its application in higher education, combined with your experience in handling charters like Athena SWAN and the Race Equality Charter, will be crucial.

You will be adept at navigating the complexities of large institutions and will be skilled in influencing and training diverse audiences, including senior staff.

Your ability to produce and analyse statistical reports, along with your effective communication and leadership skills, will ensure the successful implementation of our EDI strategies.
