The opportunity

The Specialism Investigation Tutor will help the students to develop an extended piece of academic writing that looks in depth at their field of practice. It is designed to help the student locate their work within the wider filmic environment. The unit comprises a combination of individual tutorials and a program of regular group seminars and contextual lectures and your duties will include the preparation of course material, looking after the unit pages, preparation, teaching, administration and assessment of the Specialism Investigation Unit. You will make a significant contribution to the quality of learning and support our students receive in order to enable them to complete their studies successfully.

You will help prepare the student for a career as a skilled film practitioner in the creative industries and enable them to develop a deep understanding of how to work creatively across the digital technologies of contemporary film production. The theoretical content must underscore all of the practical elements of the course and offer a shared process for the student to explore their work and of other students.
