The opportunity

If you offer excellent project coordination skills and a proactive, customer-focused approach, then University of the Arts London (UAL) has an exciting opportunity for you. Join us as a Space Coordinator at Chelsea College of Arts and play a key role in the smooth running of our teaching, learning and working spaces.

As the Space Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for helping the Building Operations team to support and maintain College shared spaces, working with relevant teams, including Timetabling, AV Support, and Facilities, to ensure rooms are ready for booked activities and arrange additional support where necessary.

You’ll be an integral part of the Building Operations team, helping to plan and deliver projects that refresh, develop and maintain our buildings, while minimising disruption to the College’s activities.

You’ll be expected to develop a strong working knowledge of the College, and identify opportunities to optimise the use of space, in ways which support and enhance the end user experience.

Although you’ll typically be based at Chelsea College of Arts, you may be called upon to cover other sites as required, and will need to develop a good working knowledge of the other sites within Camberwell Chelsea Wimbledon (CCW).

About you

We’re looking for somebody with a track record of using systems to optimise the use of space and maintain accurate records. You’ll be able to quickly adapt to changing priorities, organise your workload to achieve objectives in a timely manner and will work on your own initiative to identify and advise on ways to enhance space utilisation.

You’ll be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. In addition you’ll be confident liaising with a variety of end users, as well as working with the relevant support teams.

Previous experience of working within a front-facing, busy office environment is essential, together with a good knowledge of IT software packages and administrative processes. Experience working within a Higher Education institution would be advantageous but not essential.

Should you have any questions about the role, please contact Sirisa Clark, Head of College Building Operations/s.clark@arts.ac.uk

Should you have any questions about the application process or require reasonable adjustments for your application, please contact Adrienne Marsh, Resourcing Adviser jobs.ccw@arts.ac.uk

Interviews are scheduled to take place on Thursday 30/05/2024.
