The opportunity

We have an opportunity to join LCF’s bustling Media Lab as a Support Technician. You will contribute to the delivery of technical services within the Media Lab at London College of Fashion and support with the day-to-day operation of the teaching and learning facilities. You will work as part of a technical team responsible for delivery and maintenance of Specialist Digital Printing, Mounting, Binding and Traditional Darkroom processes, providing guidance and advice to students and staff working within the Lab area. You will be required to demonstrate technical techniques to students on one to one or in small group settings. You will provide assistance and advice to all users with the delivery of technical services to support academic activities and meet courses outcomes.

About you

Applicants should have practical experience of Media Print processes, and a strong knowledge of associated Digital and Analogue equipment. Experience of demonstrating the use of equipment and technical processes. Ability to trouble shoot technical issues. Knowledge and understanding of all relevant Health and Safety legislation and their effective operational implementation. Ability to carry out routines which require mastery of a range of skills or physical techniques, which require considerable concentration.
