The opportunity

If you want to build on your experience of fundraising in the education, arts, cultural or wider charitable sectors, this position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role supporting the Trusts and Foundations team at University of the Arts London.

Collaborating closely with the Head of Trusts and Foundations and the Trusts and Foundations Manager, you will ensure exceptional stewardship of UAL’s supporters and act as the key contact for Trusts and Foundations supported scholars.

In this capacity, you will engage with colleagues across the development, academic, and central departments, as well as students, to produce top-tier reports and foster meaningful connections with Trusts and Foundations funders.

You will additionally be responsible for securing grant renewals and new grant income towards student support (bursaries and awards) from a personal portfolio of Trusts and Foundations funders and prospects.

About you

This role demands a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual. You will be a vital member of the development team, especially as UAL embarks on its first comprehensive fundraising campaign, with an aim to raise more money than ever before, and to build a culture of philanthropy across the University.

In addition to your fundraising experience, you will need experience of providing administrative support in a busy fast-paced environment, ideally in Further Education or Higher Education, or similar setting.

You will also need excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience of collating and presenting information in compelling reports, applications or similar.

A high level of competency in Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and a willingness to learn new systems is equally important.

If you have any queries about this role or need any reasonable adjustments for your application, please contact Sahil Ibrahim, Resourcing Adviser via email at  SocialPurposestaffrecruitment@arts.ac.uk.
