The opportunity
This is a unique role. We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious academic practitioner / researcher to share the leadership of Stage One (first year) of the BA Fashion Communication: Image and Promotion pathway and fulfil a significant role in the BA Fashion Communication team. You will build on the international reputation of Fashion Communication at CSM and play a key role in leading the development of undergraduate study in the discipline.
The Joint Stage One Leader will maintain and develop professional, academic and research partnerships to ensure that the course anticipates the changing needs of the global fashion communication industry, commerce and society.
About you
We’re looking for someone with experience of teaching and leadership within Higher Education, in the specialist field of fashion communication. The successful applicant will have an Undergraduate degree (essential) and a Masters in a relevant subject area and a PGCert in teaching at Higher Education level (desirable).
This is a shared, leadership role and you will be expected to collaborate with the Joint Stage One leader in scheduling and organising activities within Stage One of the Fashion Communication: Image and Promotion pathway and contribute to the structuring of the course. Development of digital provision is a priority so you will work closely with the Digital Lead and Pathway Leader in shaping this aspect of the curriculum.
You will demonstrate evidence of research, knowledge exchange and/ or professional practice that contributes to innovation in the field of fashion communication and will show evidence of using contacts within your subject peer group to develop partnerships or collaboration.
