This is an exciting opportunity to join the UAL Awarding Body Quality Assurance and Enhancement team as an administrator.

UAL Awarding Body has 70,000 students and over 300 approved centres across the UK and internationally. Our centres deliver our 60 qualifications from entry level to level 4 in the creative arts. For further information on the qualifications we offer and the role of the awarding body with the wider university please refer to our website.

The Quality Assurance and Enhancement team (QAE) provides expert advice and support relating to Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance for UAL Awarding Body (the Further Education awarding arm of UAL).

There are three areas of focus within the QAE team which are Regulation and Compliance, Centre Monitoring and Compliance and QAE Operational Compliance. All areas are responsible for implementing and maintaining effective quality assurance policies and processes to ensure that quality standards are consistently met across the Awarding Body to support compliance with the qualification regulators.

As QAE Administrator, you will work supportively and collaboratively across the QAE team and play a pivotal role in supporting development and timely implementation of the Awarding Body’s quality assurance policies and processes. Due to the broad remit of the QAE team, this role will allow you to gain experience and a wider understanding of the key elements of quality assurance within an educational context. You will be supporting key business processes like centre approvals, appeals, reasonable adjustments and special consideration. You will also lead on establishing a QAE Quality Newsletter for our centres as well as support the QAE Management team with travel bookings, diary management and website content.

You will be an integral part of an enthusiastic and dynamic team committed to maintaining high standards and will contribute to our commitment to UAL’s strategic objectives through the delivery of high-quality QA policies and processes, ultimately impacting the success of our students and the credibility of our awarding organisation.

About you

Quality assurance experience is desirable, however training will be provided. We are looking for a candidate with an interest in the creative arts education.
