The opportunity

Due to internal promotion and ongoing investment in our people, UAL is seeking a proven HR Business Partner to support the delivery of an exceptional HR service and play a key role in deploying our long-term People Strategy. This is a great opportunity to advance your HR career within a world leading organisation undergoing an exciting period of change.

As Senior HR Business Partner, you will lead on business partnering work within a designated client group, inspire and coach other HR Business Partners and be a part of the Business Partnering Hub, working under the overall direction of the Associate Director of HR (Business Partnering).

The core purpose is to work closely with specific client groups to focus on:

  • Organisational and people capability building
  • Longer term resource and talent management planning
  • Using business insights to drive change in people management practices
  • Leading and advising on the people implications of organisation change

Our client groups have multiple Directors to support. As an experienced and established business partner, you will be expected to deal effectively with a large complex client group on a wide range of business issues and offer advice, coaching and support to less experienced colleagues.

About you

About you

We value the diverse experiences candidates bring to UAL. Our people come from a variety of sectors and therefore applications are open to those both with and without previous experience of working in the higher education sector. Most important will be your demonstrable business partnering experience gained within a comparable sized organisation.

CIPD qualified, you will bring to the role a working knowledge of contemporary approaches to business planning, organisational design, workforce planning, strategic resourcing, capability management, change management, and employee engagement. You will have experience and understanding of organisational design as well as experience of leading change.

You will be an effective communicator with strong coaching skills who relishes the opportunity to be at the forefront of change and continuously adapt accordingly. If you meet this criteria, we would like to hear from you.

Please apply early as the application closing date maybe held earlier should sufficient applications be received.
