If you are a skilled creative with a passion for print and design, ready to support a diverse range of talented individuals, this is an exciting opportunity to join the London College of Communication (LCC) Letterpress team.

Our Printmaking department is an integral part of a larger print and design team, offering purpose-built workshops that specialise in various printing techniques, including Relief Printing, Intaglio Printing, Lithographic Printing, Screen Printing, Book Arts, and Letterpress.

As a Printmaking Support Technician, you will support the specialist technicians in delivering printmaking inductions and workshops covering intaglio, lithography, relief, digital pre-production, and general administrative duties. Providing technical support, guidance, and advice to a diverse group of students hailing from different schools, courses, and backgrounds, you will play a pivotal role in granting LCC students access to an extensive array of technical resources, fostering the acquisition of printing techniques while ensuring the safe and effective management of resources.

LCC is enjoying significant growth and transformation as we prepare to move to our new cutting-edge London Campus in 2026 and you will play an important role in helping to influence and shape its development.

About you

Educated to degree level or the equivalent related to a print specialism, we are seeking a motivated and adaptable individual with a wide range of printmaking skills. Experience in supporting customers and stakeholders in a creative environment is key, along with a solid understanding of Health & Safety management within a technical area.

Effective communication is key, and you should be adept at explaining complex information clearly, imparting skills and knowledge to students, academics, and technical staff.

At LCC, we are committed to the personal and professional development of our technical staff. If there are any aspects of the role you may require training in, we will provide the necessary resources to support your continuous growth.
