The opportunity

This 18 month fixed term role will provide full and comprehensive Administrative Support for the Graduate Employability Team and Internships Co-ordinator, as well as supporting the Rethinking Employability Project. 

The Graduate Employability Hub/Team supports graduates to identify and secure their career next steps, including work, freelance opportunities or further study. The role holder will be expected act as the first point of contact for email enquiries, undertake event administration, collect data, maintain records and support events and activities.  As administrator to the Rethinking Employability Project the role holder will provide admin support to the Director including diary management, arranging meetings, as well as attending and minuting project board meetings. 

The role holder will be expected to contribute to excellent service delivery standards by providing information, support and high-quality customer service to colleagues, graduates, external partners and students. The role holder will also send out communications to graduates via tools such as Mailchimp to promote services and increase engagement with the graduate offer. 

About you

  • A Level or equivalent qualification, or relevant experience 
  • Experience of working in a front line, customer focused position preferably within Higher Education (Desirable) 
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of and commitment to excellent customer service. 
  • Ability to use a range of Microsoft Office applications 
  • Experience in using virtual learning environments such as Moodle. 
  • Ability to use Mailchimp and Mail merge.
