The opportunity
University of the Arts London is looking for a Graduate Internships Coordinator to join our Graduate Employability Hub/Team. This is an exciting opportunity to help our team support graduates with their next career steps, whether this be work and freelance opportunities or further study.
You will support the employability of recent graduates, by generating short term internships within the institution for graduates across all colleges. Working with colleagues, as well as internal and external partners, you will identify and proactively source internship opportunities from across the university.
You will also work with Graduate Employability Specialists to promote internships to graduates. You will be expected to contribute to excellent service delivery standards by providing information, support and high-quality customer service to colleagues, graduates, internal and external partners.
You will also record and report on internship activities, including data analysis, evaluation and impact and contribute to recommendations for the future development of the programme.
Please note this is an 18-month fixed term position.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree or equivalent qualification, or relevant experience
- An understanding of key issues related to student and graduate careers development, enterprise, progression and destinations
- Significant understanding and knowledge of graduate destinations and labour market trends in the creative industries
- A detailed understanding of key factors that influence graduate careers and destinations in the creative sector
- Advanced project management skills and an ability to use a range of related tools, methods and resources
- Experience of sourcing internships
- Experience of building relationships with creative industries
- The ability to work to targets and tight deadlines
