The opportunity

Reporting into the Associate Director of Finance (Academic Finance and Business Development), the post holder will provide strong leadership and management for the college-based finance teams, ensuring the teams deliver an effective financial management and business partnering service to the college and operate in accordance with the overall university framework. In a fast paced environment, you will be a positive driver of change and will develop a culture of continuous improvement within the college finance teams.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • A full professional accounting qualification.
  • Experience of working in a complex and fast-moving environment, working to key milestones and delivering comprehensive financial results to tight deadlines.
  • Experience of working with large data sets, ability to write and develop financial models and reports using excel at an advanced standard.
  • Experience of working across a large complex organisation and successfully influencing and managing change at all levels. 
  • Experience of leading and managing a large team to deliver agreed objectives and goals.
  • Strong and clear communication skills, experience being a driver for change and bringing about continuous improvement.
  • Ideally, a background working in the higher education or wider public sector, but this is not essential.
