We are looking to recruit a talented educator and innovator in advertising with evidence of previous experience of teaching Advertising at undergraduate level.

You will join our team of academics, creatives and practitioners working in the Communications and Media programme at LCC. The programme consists of courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Advertising, Media Communications, Contemporary Media Cultures and Public Relations. We have a commitment to ensuring high-quality advertising education and your role will be pivotal in helping us to achieve this.

The role requires a specific subject focus on advertising theory and practice including, but not limited to: digital advertising, influencers and influencer marketing; strategic marketing and analytics; advertising campaign planning and digital marketing; race, diversity and equality in digital advertising.

You will proactively contribute to pedagogic leadership and curriculum development that stimulates thought and practice and promotes diversity and inclusivity.

About you

You will be an early to mid-career researcher and/or possess equivalent professional experience with a growing record of excellent teaching experience in Higher Education and a commitment to delivering a high-quality student experience, including through curriculum delivery, pastoral support, and assessment.

You will bring an advanced knowledge of your subject area and be able to apply this to broader processes of change and future directions, through innovative pedagogy, knowledge exchange and/or research. You will hold a qualification in a relevant discipline at least to postgraduate level or have a substantial track record in industry alongside experience of teaching in HE. You will have a strong commitment to the advancement of your field through research or knowledge exchange and be able to identify potential sources of funding and industry engagement.
