The opportunity

Learning Technology seeks a skilled and experienced Online Content Production Coordinator to lead a team of specialist technicians in producing online video content, and teaching learning resources.  This is a varied and dynamic role, and a key part of the role is working with key academic teams, academic support teams such as Digital Learning to provide a consistent, unified approach to UAL online education. As a centre of excellence, we are seeking an experienced coordinator to develop digital pedagogy and evolve with new digital and online technologies being developed in research centres within the University.

About you

We are looking for a competent individual to coordinate the 
operations concerning the day-to-day line management of technical teams involved in creating teaching and learning resources in one of the world’s leading creative universities. That person must have the ability to communicate and take responsibility to collaborate with academic and technical teams to continually improve and develop online video pedagogical practices.

You will focus on the online coordination, operation, and development of the department’s professional service, forming part of an extended Content Production team, and wider Learning Technology department serving all London College of Fashion courses and departments.

You will line-manage a team of Specialist Teaching & Learning Technicians, overseeing associated facilities, learning resources and budgets where necessary.

You will contribute your expert knowledge and experience where needed within UAL and, with helping the college to embed into our new campus East Bank, in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park’s Cultural and Education Quarter, where you will provide specialist experience to inform this landmark project.

Teaching experience or a familiarity with effective and innovative pedagogical approaches are essential.

You will have the ability to lead a team effectively, including setting clear objectives to manage performance, providing clear feedback on performance and planning development journeys.

You may occasionally be required to be flexible with your work time arrangements in order to support ad-hoc events that occur out of the normal working hours.
