The opportunity

Your main responsibility will be preparation, teaching, administration and assessment of a unit or part of a unit. You will make a significant contribution to the quality of learning and support our students receive in order to enable them to complete their studies successfully.

You will work closely with other academic staff, including the Programme Director and Course Leader.

About you

We are looking for associate lecturers in Publishing. We cover book and magazine publishing and are looking for lecturers who have up to date knowledge of magazine design across print and digital platforms, social media and skills in multiplatform content creation, particularly podcasting. We are also looking for people with knowledge of digital book and journal publishing. The ideal candidates will have worked in the publishing or related creative industries and retain good connections with industry. A relevant degree is a requirement and experience of working with HE students and enhancing the student experience is beneficial. This role requires you to be comfortable across a variety of different learning and team-teaching environments, whether organising and supporting group activity, supporting the making of magazines and artefacts, delivering formal lectures and seminars, developing industry-focused presentations or supervising research.
