The opportunity

The Production Officer for the AKO Storytelling Institute will be responsible for the production and administrative activities of the Institute. In this pivotal role, your aim will be to support the day-to-day operations that are integral to our mission of exploring the links between the art of storytelling and social change.

Your objective will be to develop and implement effective administrative processes and plan and coordinate the activities of the AKO Storytelling Institute. These include the Fellowship programme, the delivery of Institute labs and courses and other internal and external events; and the production of knowledge exchange and other activities in a timely manner. You will collaborate with the Institute team, fellows, and relevant UAL teams and external partners to deliver the Institute’s work programme meeting the highest quality standards.

The general administrative responsibilities include office maintenance, assistance to the Director, basic financial administration tasks and basic tasks in HR functions and other essential tasks that underpin the Institute’s day-to-day operations.

About you

The role requires excellent organisational, administration and communication skills and the ability to scope, plan, manage and deliver small and large-scale activities that relate to the AKO Storytelling Institute’s work programme and its operations. The post holder will be a creative thinker and problem-solver, and an effective coordinator who can manage the life-cycle of concurrent activities and can grasp both the conceptual and practical aspects of production and administration.

We are looking for a candidate of the highest caliber, someone who can blend creativity, strategic thinking, and meticulous attention to detail to bring our vision to life.

If you have any queries about this role or need any reasonable adjustments for your application, please contact Sahil Ibrahim, Resourcing Adviser via email at Socialpurposestaffrecruitment@arts.ac.uk.
