The opportunity

Working as part of the Finance Business Systems team this role will provide a customer-focused service and specialist (1st and 2nd line) support to users of the University’s Accommodation Services Kinetics system, used for student accommodation management, conferencing and commercial residential operations.

The post-holder is responsible for maintaining and continually developing the Kinetics system in response to Accommodation Services’ changing needs, liaising with internal teams and external suppliers where required. This includes performing requirements analysis for change initiatives, leading projects relating to the development of the Kinetics system, and ensuring release processes and procedures are maintained, enabling smooth transition into business as usual operations.

About you

To succeed in this role you will have experience of Application support including upgrades, system administration, configuration and system testing, specifically with using the Kinetics system.

You will have practical experience of developing and maintaining technical and procedural documents, experience of creating user reference guides and user videos for training purposes, and experience of training end users.

You will have a logical, analytical approach to problem solving, interpreting customer requests and resolving problems, and suggesting practical solutions to new challenges.

The role is very much customer facing, and requires the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, and with people at all levels.

You will plan, prioritise and manage resources effectively and have the ability to work independently without direct supervision.

Please apply early as the application closing date maybe held earlier should sufficient applications be received.
