About you

Music in the Marketplace is a 20-credit unit on the second year of the BA Music Production course. It helps students to build upon knowledge of the music industry gained in Year 1 to identify, analyse and apply methods for funding, marketing and promoting music in the contemporary marketplace. Accordingly, the ideal candidate will have substantial experience in the music industry, and be able to inspire students through their knowledge of how such an industry works while providing real-world examples. Previous experience of teaching (delivering lectures, seminars, and/or tutorials) is required. Previous experience of assessment of degree-level work is desirable. The successful candidate will have strong communication and teamworking skills, and be equally happy to work in collaboration with other academics and independently, particularly in the design of the unit and associated materials.
