The opportunity

We are looking for an established dynamic, industry-orientated practitioner to join the Fashion PR & Communication course as a Senior Lecturer in PR & Communication. 

Relevant experience in the following areas is desirable:
–    Experience of emerging technologies affecting fashion communication 
–    Understanding of broader drivers and trends within fashion, technology and the creative industries 
–    Innovation 
–    Climate advocacy and policy 
–    Community/social impact strategies
–    Global and digital communities
–    Social media content and campaigns
–    Cultural production
–    Brand experience 

The role also includes responsibility for actively contributing to working relationships with colleagues and projects across the Fashion Communication programme and School of Media and Communication. 

As a Senior Lecturer on the course, you will be responsible for undertaking research applicable to the discipline, developing opportunities for working with industry and developing the curriculum to be relevant and topical.

About you

Fashion PR & Communication is a well-established and highly regarded course so you will have significant expertise to lead and build on its forward-thinking vision. You will understand media and communication in a broad cultural and creative context and have a keen awareness and interest in innovation, advocacy and policy and emerging/frontier technologies to support student interests and projects. 

There is a rich culture of knowledge exchange on the course so you will have the ability to establish new and leverage extensive industry connections and networks to provide significant opportunities in the curriculum, particularly important in the context of LCF’s move to Stratford and the East Bank in 2023. Drawing on your academic experience, you will ensure we continue to innovate in teaching, learning support and assessment.
