The opportunity

UAL Awarding Body is an awarding organisation specialising in qualifications within the performing and creative arts. As a leading provider of further education pre-degree qualifications, UAL Awarding Body is growing to meet the increasing demand for its regulated qualifications that inspire transformative education for young people.

Reporting to the Centre Monitoring & Compliance Manager, this role sits within the Centre Monitoring & Compliance area of the Quality Assurance & Enhancement (QAE) team. The QAE Officer is responsible for monitoring our c.280 approved centres via our risk rating process, conducting investigations and supporting centres to improve their provision so our students have the best experience possible. You will also support key business processes such as centre approvals, grade appeals and the annual self evaluation exercise.

This role is an ideal opportunity to be part of a growing awarding organisation where the work is both stimulating and varied and makes a meaningful impact to the lives of young people and inspires educators who deliver our qualifications.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent planning and organisation skills as well as understanding the importance of meeting deadlines. You will be reliable and pride yourself on delivering high quality work, on time with excellent attention to detail.

You will be motivated, hardworking, and a skilled problem solver. You will be a natural investigator who is able to interpret and explain complex information, make evidence based decisions and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders across a range of professional levels.

Excellent verbal and written skills are paramount, alongside the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. You will be able to work independently to manage multiple strands of work at any one time, re-prioritising when needed to deliver on time.

You will have experience of working in a quality function of an organisation, preferably in an Awarding Body, however, applications are encouraged from other industries, professional bodies and educational settings.

Should you have any queries about this role please contact Twinkle Brahmbhatt, Resourcing Adviser via email at RKEEstaffrecruitment@arts.ac.uk
