UAL Awarding Body designs and awards qualifications in creative subjects from Levels 1 to 4, across over 200 FE Colleges and 6th Forms.

External Moderators assist UAL with complying with the Ofqual General Conditions of Recognition.

External Moderators are a core member of the Academic Standards team and act as a key link between the UAL Awarding Body, the Senior External Moderators, and its approved centres. As such they are expected to maintain the highest professional standards, always promoting the UAL Awarding Body’s brand and ethos. They are required to manage confidential information with integrity and work effectively with staff at all levels both internally at UAL Awarding Body and externally at approved centres. The external moderation activity takes place between May and July and may require occasional travel within the UK if meetings are face to face
