The opportunity

Why can Tax Accountants be tired after work? Because their job is so taxing.

Being a Qualified Tax Accountant is an achievement. You spent all that time to get qualified and perhaps landed a role. Do you feel engaged or the work that you do has real purpose?

This is your chance to join our welcoming specialist Finance team where you can make a real difference and not be seen as just a number.

With your tax knowledge and expertise, you can help us to provide instrumental support in strategic decision-making and operational needs across our university, a university which has social purpose at the forefront of its agenda.

If you enjoy building relationships, providing expert advice and are not daunted by the following code that was taken off a number plate (IR35), we would love for you to join our team.

If you have any questions about this role, feel free to reach out to Helen Stephens, Associate Director of Finance, via h.stephens@arts.ac.uk provided you’re a real candidate of course and not an agency.

About you

This is an exciting time to be joining the University.

You will be a qualified finance professional with proven experience of providing a tax advisory service and explaining complex international tax advice to non- technical staff to support decision making.

Your knowledge and experience will include working with complex data sets to analysis and reconcile information, preparation of international tax returns with supporting information to deadline, engaging with stakeholders to understand international activity and aspirations as well as providing monthly reporting and dashboard to understand and monitor activity and risk.

In return, University of the Arts London offers generous leave, pension and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity.

If you require any reasonable adjustments for your application, please contact the Resourcing Adviser responsible for this role via email PSOstaffRecruitment@arts.ac.uk.
