The opportunity

Centre for Sustainable Fashion (CSF) seeks a highly skilled Centre Coordinator. This is a key role at CSF, providing a professional, high quality service, in supporting and advising across the CSF Team to ensure good practice is upheld and effective and inclusive working environments are maintained.

As the Centre Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for CSF for internal and external queries and relationships, will work well independently as well as part of the team and will be responsible to ensure an efficient operational and administrative service is in place across the team and University policy and procedures are complied with.

Centre for Sustainable Fashion (CSF) is a University of the Arts London research, education and knowledge exchange centre, based at London College of Fashion. CSF provokes, challenges, and questions the status quo in fashion to contribute to a system that recognises its ecological context and honours equity. The Centre’s work shapes and contributes to Fashion Design for Sustainability as a field of study, industry practices and educational models.  By exploring and cross-referencing fashion’s relational ecological, social, economic, and cultural agendas, CSF engages in transformational design practices.

CSF takes a pluralistic, systemic approach, collaborating across its network of universities, businesses and other organisations from all around the world.

About you

You will be comfortable with problem solving, working on multiple tasks simultaneously, at pace, while having a keen eye for detail. You will have great leadership skills demonstrated by your ability to motivate and nurture a team, and fostering constructive cross-team collaboration. With strong IT skills and expertise in MS Word/Outlook/Excel/Powerpoint and Adobe, you will be able to communicate efficiently and create presentations to a diverse audience in an inclusive and accessible way. Strong finance and budget monitoring experience is essential and knowledge and use of Agresso (ABW) desirable.

As part of this, you will need to provide a supporting statement/answer some competency questions to demonstrate your suitability. Our recruitment process involves: Application, Shortlisting, Interview and Assessment, Offer, Onboarding.

We understand the benefits of using AI in work. But, if you are thinking of using it to submit an application, we ask you to think about what value it adds. AI tools tend to lack the personal touch and authenticity we value in candidates. We encourage you to showcase your unique knowledge and skills using your own voice.
