The opportunity
MA Arch Architecture at Central Saint Martins invites applications for Associate Lecturers (AL), Visiting Practitioner (VP) teaching positions. Please indicate which role you are applying to in your cover letter. We are looking forward to hearing from a range of applicants who are practitioners with a commitment to situated and regenerative practices within architecture, and a strong interest in architectural education. While most needs that arise in-year are temporary, staff who take on hourly-paid roles often find them to be a productive way to become immersed in our environment, develop their practice as academics, and gain experience that may help them in later applications to more substantive or permanent roles within our programme. Please note that we expect to receive a high volume of applications from appointable candidates, and while we hope to engage as many of them as possible, being added to the pool of Associate Lecturers does not guarantee an offer of work. Successful candidates will be expected to: · Take a student-centred approach to providing learning and teaching. |
Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed and, if identified as appointable, added to a pool of Associate Lecturers and Visiting Practitioners who can be matched to staffing needs that arise over a 12-month period. This could include tutoring, delivering seminar and workshop activities, or developing course materials.
