The opportunity

We’re seeking a Subject Leader for the MA Performance courses at Wimbledon College of Arts. The MA Performance: Politics and Social Justice, and MA Performance: Theatre Making sit within the wider portfolio of acting and performance courses as well as the Schools wider postgraduate offer. It is an exciting time to be joining the College.

As a Subject Leader, you’ll articulate and communicate the course academic vision, contribute to its mission, and lead its development and enhancement. Key responsibilities include curriculum design, implementing effective teaching and assessment methods, providing guidance to students, maintaining records, and managing staff. You’ll collaborate with colleagues, contribute to the development of the Performance at Wimbledon, establish relationships with relevant communities, engage in research or professional practice, and adhere to University policies.

About you

The ideal candidate should possess a degree in a performance related area, teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level, strong communication and leadership skills, and a record of contribution to professional practice or research. They should also demonstrate knowledge of performance making practices and theories, familiarity with educational pedagogies in the field, and effective problem-solving abilities.
