The opportunity

To support the Principal Investigator (PI) in the fulfilment of project deliverables and tasks required of the UAL research team contributing to the three-year technical assistance project “From Design to Production: Digital Transformation of Apparel Sector in Turkey” funded by Multi-annual Operational Programme “Competitiveness and Innovation Sector” for Community Assistance from the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II) for the Socioeconomic and Regional Development Policy Area in Turkey through the call for tender EuropeAid/140070/IH/SER/TR managed by the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology, DG for EU and Foreign Affairs, Directorate of EU Financial Programmes acting as Contracting Authority for the tender implementation.

You will support the Principle Investigator in project activities related to the capacity building of academic staff at Istanbul Moda Akademi (Istanbul Fashion Academy) including the development of Service Delivery Manuals for new Digital Fashion Design training packages created by the UAL Team, identification and selection of trainers to partake in Digital Fashion Design training, assessment of the current and post-training knowledge level of trainers, delivery of trainings to IMA staff and SMEs, and the organisation of a study-visit to the UK.

About you

You will have a track record of utilising co-design tools and methodologies within a workshop setting and be confident in supporting the facilitation of co-design and co-creation activities eliciting stakeholders and end-user feedback. You will also possess theoretical understanding of fashion and textile design and the fashion and textile manufacturing supply chain and ecosystem and fieldwork practices, and strong analytical skills needed to collect and process heterogeneous qualitative/quantitative data. You will be able to work collaboratively and to manage your work autonomously and to agreed deadlines. You will have an emerging track record of publications and presentations appropriate to your career stage, and you will be able to communicate effectively with non-academic stakeholders.
