The opportunity

University of the Arts London is undergoing a significant period of transformation. We are investing in our people and have developed a new People Strategy to enable the delivery of the University’s wider 10-year strategy. For our new People Strategy to be a success it is vital our strategic aims are coordinated effectively across the University. We are therefore seeking a proven Programme Manager to provide strategic coordination, planning and governance support to the People senior management team.

As People Programmes Manager you will lead the People Team’s overall approach to operational strategy development, governance and communications, and provide 
strategic advice to the Director of HR, working in partnership with key stakeholders within the People Group and across UAL.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the operational strategy and the smooth running of the People Group operations
  • Leading and managing the strategic delivery of People Group programme / project activities
  • Developing a roadmap of activities across the People Group
  • Acting as the primary conduit between university services and college senior management/executive teams
  • Managing the scheduling of the People Group senior management meetings.

About you

As a CIPD qualified professional (MCIPD) or with equivalent experience, your expertise in strategy development and project/programme management will be invaluable. You will have a deep understanding of strategy development and execution, along with qualifications or equivalent knowledge of project management methodologies and tools. 

You’ll bring a proven track record of successfully managing multiple major projects and programmes from inception to completion, thriving in fast-paced environments where juggling and reprioritisation are essential skills.
