The opportunity

You will assist with the effective delivery of library services on your designated site, although you might occasionally be required to work at any of the other UAL college libraries. 

You will participate in answering enquiries on-line, via our live chat service, ASK. You will also participate in on-site front-line services and administrative duties including support for self-issue systems, IT and printing.  You will assist users with general directional and initial information enquiries, including the use of the library catalogue, electronic information resources. You may also be required to take part in shelving activities and demonstrate an understanding of manual handling guidelines which will be required when lifting heavy items. 

The working pattern for this post is currently Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 09:00am-17:00pm (21 hours per week) with some shifts that are 10:00am-18:15pm.  Candidates must be able to commit to this to be considered but may be open for negotiation.

About you

You should have relevant library or customer service experience, and formal training. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and be IT literate. Working in a team, you will provide positive and responsive customer service.
