The opportunity
University of the Arts London (UAL) is looking for an experienced Lecturer to play a vital role in teaching, curriculum development, and ongoing scholarship within the User Experience Design course at the UAL London College of Communication (LCC).
You will support and lead students in exploring the non-linear human-centred design process where user needs and behaviours are at the forefront of design decisions. You will encourage students to pursue design intervention motivated by a deep understanding of users, user experience, and context. You will promote ethnographic research methods and modes of contextual enquiry to inform the design process, preparing students to engage in data collection and analysis.
Additionally, you will advise students throughout the holistic development of any digital product, guiding students to document, curate and communicate their individual design process using a strategic balance of written and visual modes of communication. You will also contribute to curriculum development in the domain of embodied and situated design practice, while working with the community of practice in questioning assumptions in user experience design.
Further information should be viewed on the course pages before application.
