On 25th June, UAL’s annual Staff Summer Party brought together colleagues from across the University for a memorable afternoon at the Chelsea College of Arts. With workshops, games, music and more, the event was a brilliant celebration of our staff community.

Thank you to all those who helped make it a success, from our events team to our catering staff, to our staff networks, activity facilitators and volunteers from all across UAL – it was a huge collaborative effort that wouldn’t have been possible without their time and energy. Finally, thank you to all those colleagues who attended and helped make it a day to remember.

The sun came out and so did the smiles as colleagues from across UAL gathered to enjoy an afternoon filled with fun, creativity and connection. It was wonderful to see colleagues getting involved with activities and sharing the work of their networks and teams. Some highlights include mocktails hosted by the Group for the Equality of Minority (GEMS)Staff Network and a lively Silent Disco courtesy of the LGBTQ+ Network.

A special thank you goes to the Halls Residences team who ran 3 sustainable workshops including tie dye, plant potting and block painting. The bunting created during the session will be reused at next year’s party, adding a colourful and personal touch to our celebrations.

Colleagues also enjoyed fairground games, face painting and beautiful henna designs throughout the day. It was great to see everyone relaxing, trying something new and catching up with familiar faces.

When booking their ticket to the party, colleagues were invited to donate to the University Hardship Fund. We are pleased to share that £150 was raised to support students in need.

Thank you again to everyone who attended or supported the event. We look forward to seeing you again next summer.
