The opportunity
Are you a creative and driven marketing and communications professional ready to make a meaningful impact in higher education? This role offers a fantastic opportunity to engage student communities and develop your career in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment at University of the Arts London (UAL).
As a key member of our Accommodation, Catering and Retail (ACR) team, the Marketing and Communications Assistant is responsible for planning, creating, editing and scheduling content across digital platforms including the Halls Life website, UAL website and social media channels. Your work will support communications to both current and prospective students, helping them feel connected and informed throughout their higher education journey.
You will ensure all ACR website pages and internal Canvas content are accurate and up-to-date and also play a key part in coordinating departmental events and contributing to university-wide occasions such as College open days.
Managing the departmental marketing inbox and liaising with colleagues across UAL will also be central to your day-to-day work, ensuring enquirers are responded to in a timely manner. From campaign planning to cross-department collaboration, your efforts will help elevate the profile of the ACR department and enhance the student experience.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree-level qualification in marketing, communications or a related field, and demonstrable experience across the full marketing and communications mix including PR, email marketing, events, social media, websites and design.
You will have experience of working within a busy marketing and communications team, working across multiple projects simultaneously and delivering against KPIs.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to craft engaging content for diverse audiences.
