You’ll deliver engaging, platform-specific content that resonates with students, staff, alumni and external stakeholders. You'll help grow our online community engagement and contribute to strategic communication objectives such as raising the profile of the University, building our brand and enhancing our reach and reputation.
As a Social Media Executive, you will support the cross-university social media function by working collaboratively with teams from diverse professional disciplines. Your work will play a key part in ensuring our content meets our audiences' needs by tracking our social media performance and improving our content using data insights.
Your profile
We're looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Executive who thrives in an agile digital environment. You will be passionate about creating engaging, audience-first content and have a strong understanding of how social media platforms can be used strategically to enhance engagement, reputation and advocacy. You’ll be highly organised, data-driven and confident in managing multiple projects at once.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in creating and delivering engaging, platform-specific social media content across a range of channels
- Strong copywriting skills
- Experience in managing content scheduling and content calendars
- The ability to analyse performance metrics, spot trends and make data-driven recommendations for content optimisation
- A solid understanding of community management, including responding to comments and messages, fostering engagement and escalating risks where necessary.
Collaboration is at the heart of this role, both in being a proactive and helpful team player but also sharing information and working with other teams as part of our new integrated communications structure.
