The opportunity

Are you ready to make a significant impact on the future of digital learning? The London College of Communication, part of the University of the Arts London, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Digital Learning Coordinator. This key role offers the chance to shape and enhance the digital learning landscape, working closely with academic and professional staff to support and develop innovative digital learning platforms and resources.

 

As a Senior Digital Learning Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the Digital Learning team. Your expertise will be essential in providing guidance and support to course teams, ensuring the effective integration of technology into teaching practices. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality digital learning content, as well as creating online guidance and training materials. This is an exciting opportunity to lead projects, manage a team, and contribute to the strategic direction of digital learning at LCC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer expert digital learning advice and support to course teams and related key areas such as Academic Support, Library, Disability, and technical teams.
  • Collaborate with academic, technical, and administrative staff to design, develop, and implement effective online and blended learning content.
  • Act as a mentor or change agent for staff who wish to integrate technology into their teaching practice.
  • Test and evaluate learning materials and pedagogical approaches to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Assist in the upgrade, testing, and development of core digital learning platforms.

Identify needs for, design, and deliver digital learning staff development programs.

About you

You are a digital learning professional with a strong background in educational technology and experience in developing digital learning solutions. You have a deep understanding of digital learning pedagogies and technologies commonly used in higher education. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills enable you to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, from academic staff to technical teams.

 

Your ability to manage multiple projects will be crucial in this role. You are proactive, innovative, and committed to enhancing the student learning experience through the use of technology.

 

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Substantive knowledge of digital learning pedagogies and technologies commonly used in higher education.
  • General digital media production skills to produce online guidance and resources.
  • Working closely with course teams to embed digital learning and related processes/practices.
  • Experience in the production and curation of support and guidance resources and materials (text, audio, video, print, etc.).
  • Teaching experience in undergraduate or postgraduate programs, including online formats, or experience delivering professional learning workshops and interventions to adult learners.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field or extensive relevant experience.
  • Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or similar accreditation.
