The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced, hybrid role at the core of Research, Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise (RKEE) operations, directly with the senior management team and the recently appointed PVC, RKEE. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Projects and Operations, you will provide high level project and executive support to the PVC. In that capacity, you will develop detailed reports, briefings and presentations to underpin delivery of RKEE’s strategic objectives and enable business critical decision making by senior level UAL stakeholders, including the Executive Board.
In parallel, you will manage and continue to develop the RKEE Central Operations function, working with a small but highly effective team to ensure alignment of services with cross departmental objectives. Specific priorities will include staff development, communications, reporting and structured, seamless delivery of support for senior management meetings.
Given the nature of the role, the postholder should anticipate an equal split of capacity between RKEE project and operations management. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to manage and prioritise activity across both areas according to business need.
About you
You have extensive experience working with senior management to deliver operational priorities. You have a strong line management track record, with the proven ability to plan in detail, directing and supporting teams to ensure timely delivery of key tasks. You are also able to provide demonstrable experience of implementing new services and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within an existing service provision.
As a confident written and oral communicator, you are able to gather, analyse, synthesise, document and present information in multiple formats, both in person and online. You construct concise, structured and evidence-based arguments that avoid ambiguity and enable clear decision making.
For an informal discussion about the role or if you have any queries, please contact Mairead Kelly, Director of Academic Enterprise m.i.kelly@arts.ac.uk or Roy Harper, Head of Strategic Operations and Projects, RKEE on roy.harper@arts.ac.uk.
