The opportunity

In this role, you will support the planning and delivery of internal communications to connect, engage, inspire and inform our staff and students at Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon Colleges of Arts, part of University of the Arts London (UAL).

You will play a key role in supporting the realisation of the vision and strategic objectives for the 3 Colleges, including the development of our multiple College brands. The role is responsible for understanding and interpreting the environment in which we operate in order to inspire, inform and engage our staff and students across the 3 Colleges, covering our strategy, news, policies and procedures.

You will also be responsible for supporting the delivery of our internal messages, ensuring messaging is consistent and impactful across all channels and that the reputation of the Colleges is protected and enhanced.

The role involves working closely with key senior staff including academics to develop a compelling narrative to help staff understand the role they play and that contributes to the overall student experience.

About you

Educated to degree level, you’ll have experience of overseeing communication channels, including setting up and running channels as well as creating, writing, proofing and editing content (copy, images, video).  Ideally familiar with systems used at UAL such as Mailchimp, Squizmatrix, App Space, Canvas and Workflow (or other internal communications/intranet).

Interviews are scheduled to take place between 7th and 9th February 2024.

If you have any questions about the role, application process or require reasonable adjustments for your application, please contact Christine Crouch, Resourcing Advisor / jobs.ccw@arts.ac.uk.

As part of this, you will need to provide a supporting statement/answer some competency questions to demonstrate your suitability. Our recruitment process involves: Application, Shortlisting, Interview and Assessment, Offer, Onboarding.

We understand the benefits of using AI in work. But, if you are thinking of using it to submit an application, we ask you to think about what value it adds. AI tools tend to lack the personal touch and authenticity we value in candidates. We encourage you to showcase your unique knowledge and skills using your own voice.
