The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join the LCC Printmaking team based in Elephant and Castle. Printmaking consists of large, purpose built workshops specialising in Relief Printing, Intaglio Printing, Planographic Printing, Screen Printing, Letterpress and Book Arts.
You will create and deliver inductions and workshops screenprint processes in all varieties of application, digital artworking and production of digital output. Some experience with relief, plate lithography, stone lithography and intaglio processes is desirable. You will offer technical support, professional expertise, guidance, and advice to Students from a variety of different schools, courses, and backgrounds. You will play an integral part in offering students at LCC access to an extensive range of technical resources, supporting the skill acquisition in traditional, modern, and experimental printing techniques, ensuring the resources are managed efficiently and safely.
As an active member of the technical team, you will contribute to the technical resources strategy by providing vital information and data to the technical coordinator and technical managers. Your role will encompass communicating with stakeholders, acting as the point of contact for technical support and ensuring access to up-to-date and accurate information for students, academics, technicians, and other university staff.

About you
You will be a motivated, adaptable, dynamic, and experienced person with a wide range of printmaking skills. Ideally, a creative individual with a passion for traditional printing, who will relish the challenge of supporting a diverse range of talented creatives.
You will be a good communicator, able to explain complex information clearly. You will be confident in imparting skills and knowledge to students, academic and other technical staff. Experience of supporting customers and stakeholders in a creative environment is key. Knowledge of Health & Safety management of the designated technical area is also important.
