The opportunity
The Building Operations team ensure the smooth running of the Camberwell Chelsea and Wimbledon campus, in close collaboration with Facilities, Estates Projects and Health and Safety teams.
As Building Operations Manager for Chelsea and Wimbledon, you will work across two of our main sites to facilitate the maintenance and development of our spaces, and help to coordinate a variety of activities on site. You will be the first point of contact for a broad range of internal and external stakeholders relating to building operations, as well as contributing to the College’s strategic estates planning. You will lead on developing the specification for a range of building development projects, and ensure building projects are managed to minimise disruption to other College activities. You will manage a small team to support the delivery of activities across multiple sites.
About you
You will be a strong communicator with excellent relationship building and project management skills and focussed on delivering a first class service. Working closely with academic and technical teams, the estates and health and safety teams, you will be integral to maintaining a world-class learning environment for our students.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of project management with multiple stakeholders
- IOSH qualified or equivalent demonstrable health and safety experience
- Sound knowledge of the Building Regulations, fire risk assessments, health and safety including CDM, the Equality Act 2010 and implications for management of the built environment, etc.
- CAD experience or willing to undertake training
- Proven track record within the creative industries, manufacturing, education or similar complex and dynamic environments
- Experience of collating data and reporting effectively on its findings and managing projects
- Experience of managing financial processes within a workstream
- Experience of initiating new process and engaging stakeholders
- Experience of developing strong relationships both internally and externally
