The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join the Graduate Futures team supporting two key areas of activity. Working across The Hub and Graduate Futures, you'll play an important role in delivering an engaging programme of events, exhibitions and enterprise initiatives while helping create valuable opportunities for students and graduates.

Based in The Hub, a dynamic space where people come together to meet, run workshops, deliver talks, host exhibitions and exchange ideas, you’ll play a central role in the development, coordination and delivery of an engaging and diverse events programme. Spending three days a week supporting The Hub, you’ll lead on the administration of the events programme and take ownership of a range of events management responsibilities, ensuring every event is delivered to a high standard.

As one of the key faces within The Hub, you’ll provide a professional and welcoming front-of-house service, supporting both internal and external users while responding confidently to enquiries in person, over the phone and by email. You’ll be a key point of contact for visitors, colleagues and event organisers, creating a positive experience from first enquiry through to successful event delivery.

Working closely with colleagues across AV, Catering and Security, you’ll support events on the day by coordinating logistics and resolving basic AV and IT issues. You’ll also manage space bookings, procurement, payment processing and inbox management, while contributing to the ongoing development of an exciting programme of internal and external events.

For the remaining two days each week, you'll support the Graduate Futures team in coordinating and promoting a range of employability and enterprise initiatives. This will include administering Sponsored Student Projects and Graduate Consultancy Projects, maintaining project documentation, liaising with students, graduates and external partners, supporting communications and events, and helping ensure opportunities are delivered effectively and provide positive outcomes for participants.

Your profile

We're looking for an organised and proactive administrator with experience of coordinating projects, events or programmes in a busy environment. You'll be confident managing multiple priorities, building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and delivering excellent customer service.

Experience of supporting events, exhibitions or venue-based activities, including the use of AV equipment, would be useful.

This role is subject to completing an enhanced DBS check.
