Join the team at London College of Fashion as a Specialist Technician, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in shaping the next generation of fashion professionals. 

As a Specialist Technician, your role will involve offering expert guidance and contributing to teaching and learning activities across the College. You’ll provide students with invaluable technical instruction on garment construction and pattern-cutting techniques aligned with industry standards. This will include areas such as shapewear, swimwear, lingerie, activewear and nightwear. 

Your in-depth knowledge of Contour techniques and production methods will enable you to deliver highly specialised sewing workshops focused on garment construction. You will demonstrate and teach sewing skills, while also ensuring proficiency in operating specialist machinery and equipment. You will adapt your communication style to effectively teach a diverse range of students, ensuring that each individual gains the education and skills needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving industry. 

This position includes working evenings and weekends.

Your profile

To excel in this role, you should hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification in fashion technology, or possess substantial industry experience in Contour and Sportswear garment construction, working with specialist fabrics and pattern‑cutting.

We are looking for candidates with the ability to apply effective teaching methods and/or professional practices that support excellence in teaching, learning, and inclusivity.

    Friday 26th June 2026: Interview Online (only candidates successful at the practical skills test will be invited)
