The opportunity

London College of Fashion is looking for a dynamic and experienced academic practitioner to take on the role of Senior Lecturer and Course Leader on our MBA Fashion course. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about innovation, creativity and driving meaningful change in the global fashion business and management landscape.

Based in the Fashion Business School, you will provide academic leadership and management for the MBA Fashion course, working closely with the Programme Director to ensure the highest standards in the design, development and delivery of the curriculum. You will shape a forward-thinking programme that emphasises experiential learning, problem-solving and engagement with industry, while continuing to evolve the course to reflect the changing demands of the global fashion sector.

This role offers the chance to work with a diverse cohort of students who already bring professional industry experience and are seeking to deepen their knowledge and develop their fashion business skills. You will play a central role in supporting their development as purposeful leaders, enhancing their management expertise and equipping them with the skills they need to navigate a complex and fast-paced industry.

In addition to this, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the course, including all areas of teaching, learning, assessment and resource allocation. You will contribute to the wider academic mission of the programme and the institution, participating in committees and ensuring that the course maintains a clear identity, remains current in its subject focus and delivers a high-quality learning experience for our students.

Your profile

We are looking for an experienced lecturer with an undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field, alongside proven experience of teaching and assessment within a Higher Education environment.

You will demonstrate the ability to effectively lead and motivate others, setting clear objectives and managing performance, pairing this with excellent communication and organisational skills.

A track record of research, teaching, knowledge exchange and/or professional practice that contributes to the advancement of the discipline and aligns with the strategic goals of the Programme, College and University is essential.
